Where in Austin are you?
We are located 2 blocks west of the University. We are also about 16 blocks from the fun part of downtown. That’s about a $7 cab ride, or a 40 minute walk. There are numerous bus routes to and from downtown and some are free. Google map.
How far are you from the airport?
We are about 20 minutes from the airport. The cab ride will cost about $25. You can also arrange with Super Shuttle. The Super Shuttle charges $24 for the round trip.
Do you accept children or pets?
We no longer accept pets at all, at either property. Children over the age of 5 are welcome.
What is there around you to do?
There are more than 120 restaurants downtown. There are many places to eat within a 6 block radius from here:
The Clay Pit has great curry.
Mars Restaurant has a lot of southeast asian cuisine.
There are numerous pizza places, burger joints, wing shops, etc. We are right next to the University, after all!
The Dog and Duck is a cool place to play darts or pool. The beer selection is good, and they have a patio.
There are several great hangouts nearby:
The Hole in the Wall is a popular, old Austin hangout. Live music almost every night.
There’s a lot of other stuff in walking distance:
The Bob Bullock Museum of Texas History is a great way to spend several hours. They have IMAX theaters, too.
The LBJ Library is quite popular.
The Blanton Museum of Art is a cool place.
The Harry Ransom Center has antiquities from ancient Greece, a Guttenburg bible and at least one Marilyn Monroe dress.
Pease Park is nearby. The best part is the disc golf, but they have a fine hike and bike trail, a playground, and Eeyore’s Birthday Party!
